ImprovEverywhere NYC Grand Central

ImprovEverywhere are doing public performances, what they call missions. In this experiment they let some 200 “Agents” freeze for 5 minutes in New Yorks Grand Central, and gain some awesome footage from it.

You can participate in a lot of missions for example in the mp3 experiments where particpants follow instructions from an mp3 file in a public gathering place.

Check out the full list of performances and experiments at ImprovEverywhere

Jim Avignon X NewYorker

newyorker0.png
My friend Anna tipped me off a while ago that our friend Jim Avignon has a coop going on with the german fashion discounter NewYorker. Ironically so, since he moved from Berlin to NYC last year. His artistic pieces were never to be regarded as expensive, but now you can have a real Jim Avignon and even wear it.

Hipsters beware, learn to Fix-Push

Since fixed gear bicycles have become generic for the metropolitan hipster-follower, the ones that want to stay on top have to move on and find other things. And here it is: the totally new “Fix-Push”

I’m sparrowed

Sam Sparro

The new Sam Sparro Debut Album ‘Sam Sparro’ just blew me away today. Nice Production, nice voice. Although I’m generally not so much into soul vocals, this one really got me.

Listen to some tracks on hypemachine.
To my suprise he is booked at 103 club for tomorrow (21.May) night.

Cinemizer arrived

Zeiss Cinemizer

Today i recieved the Cinemizer from Zeiss for review. It is a mobile video screen for iPods (perhaps also for the iPhone) and mobile DVD Players. read: Video-Goggles
Seems they still have their Lead-User program up, so subscribe yourself if you also want to get one for a 2-week hands-on.

First impression: Picture Quality is excellent, ergonomics suck.
Stay tuned for an in-depth review.

update: product sucked so badly that i was sending them back after 3 days.

gefährdete Moderne

Junkalor Werkshalle

Eine Situation, die allerorts bekannt ist: Wunderschöne industrielle Bauten der Moderne, jedoch nicht bekannt genug um bei Investoren Interesse für eine Instandsetzung zu wecken.
Diesmal in Dessau.

[Read more]
